The Washington Association of Community & Migrant Health Centers has changed its name to the Washington Association for Community Health.
The name change is intended to better articulate the mission of the organization in supporting member health centers to expand their reach and improve the health of the more than 1 million low-income people they serve.
The name change is part of a larger process to improve the way the association communicates about its services and goals. They hope to better serve their members by providing a clearer picture of the services members can access, and by improving understanding of their critical work with policy makers, agencies and partner organizations like WSHA.
