Virginia Mason Medical Center is co-sponsoring a climate and health symposium that will be hosted by the hospital on Dec. 7.
This educational event will provide an overview of climate change and health, focusing on the specific health impacts of climate change in Washington State. It will also discuss opportunities for action in health care sustainability, advocacy and communications, and patient and clinician education.
The symposium is open to health care professionals and the general public. Doctors can earn continuing medical education (CME) and nurses can earn continuing nurse education (CNE) credit for attending.
The event is being co-organized by Virginia Mason, Health Care Without Harm, Kaiser Permanente, Seattle Children’s, Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility and Washington State Medical Association. Check out the Virginia Mason website and the event flyer for further details.
