Validated Gap Analysis tool for CAUTI

June 11, 2019

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has developed a wealth of materials to prevent HAIs, including Catheter-associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI). AHRQ’s CAUTI Event Report Template is a valuable tool to help you and your team identify how an event took place. Once identified, you can then find out how to interpret the compilation of events by using AHRQ’s Interpreting CAUTI Data Trends tables.

This Gap Analysis and tool is also part of the AHRQ Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program (CUSP). WSHA is here to help you and your hospital go through the CUSP process and provide hands-on assistance adopting the program for your organization. If you would like to know more about CUSP or need assistance in understanding how to start, please contact Sandra Assasnik at sandraa@wsha.org.
