Johnese Spisso, UW Medicine chief health system officer and vice president of medical affairs for the University of Washington, has been named president of UCLA Health, CEO of UCLA Hospital System and associate vice chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences. Johnese will oversee all operations of UCLA’s hospitals and clinics as well as the health system’s regional outreach strategy, starting Feb. 8.
UCLA Health includes the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center; Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA; Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA; UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica; and more than 150 primary and specialty offices throughout Southern California.
During her 20 years at UW Medicine, Johnese played a major role in a strategic planning effort that expanded collaborations with regional hospitals and in the operational integration of two major community hospitals into UW Medicine. Click here to read more about Johnese’s new role.
