While the Department of Health had originally planned for HELMS credentialing to go live on Feb. 19, 2025, they are adjusting that timeline to ensure an effective transition for everyone who relies on their licensing and credentialing services.
They recognize that this change may be frustrating and are grateful for your efforts to renew your licenses early to avoid the freeze. They also know that some of you have put in extra effort to navigate these changes, and they truly appreciate your patience, flexibility and continued partnership.
Their top priority remains an improved licensing and credentialing experience that supports both their staff and partners like you. While the majority of the system is ready, there are critical pieces of functionality that require additional refinement and validation. They will also use this time to complete additional staff training and practice, supporting a more successful launch.
They will provide updates as soon as we have more details on the revised timeline. In the meantime, current systems remain fully operational. (Gena Cooper)
