Upcoming WSHA webinar to focus on behavioral health needs in pediatric patients

November 30, 2022

Please join WSHA for our final behavioral health webinar of the year, “How Behavioral Health Conditions Emerge in Children and Youth: An Introduction for All Care Providers,” from 12-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6. Register here. Behavioral health conditions can emerge and present differently in pediatric patients compared to adults, and when a pediatric patient is experiencing a behavioral health crisis, engaging with both the patient and their support system can lead to increased complexity in providing care.

We will showcase speakers from MultiCare Behavioral Health Network, Tacoma General Hospital, Providence Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital and Seattle Children’s Partnership Access Line as they share foundational knowledge about how to best serve pediatric behavioral health patients in all areas of hospital care.

In this virtual education event, we will learn how behavioral health conditions present across developmental stages, consider how intergenerational trauma impacts pediatric behavioral health crises and showcase pediatric behavioral health services across the state. Please reach out to Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Brittany Weiner at BrittanyW@wsha.org with any questions.
