Upcoming webinar will focus on opioids and telehealth in a pandemic

The Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) will host a webinar on May 15 from 1-2 p.m. to help physicians and advanced practitioners care for their patients receiving opioid prescriptions to treat chronic pain via telemedicine during the pandemic. The webinar – featuring developers of the Six Building Blocks model, a team-based approach to improving opioid management in primary care – will delve into strategies to provide remote care for patients, bill for telemedicine, align with regulatory changes to opioid prescribing and telemedicine policies. WSMA will also highlight key features of the Better Prescribing, Better Treatment acute opioid reports. Webinar speakers include Laura Mae-Baldwin, MD; Michael Parchman, MD, MPH; Jessica Schlicher, MD, MBA; Nathan Schlicher, MD, JD, MBA, FACEP; and Jeb Shepard. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Please share with interested prescribers. Register online now.
