Hospitals are essential partners in their communities, not just through the care they provide in their facilities and the services they deliver outside their walls, but also through their partnerships. MultiCare Health System has taken partnerships to heart, awarding $500,000 to 58 non-profits in the Puget Sound region.
The receiving organizations span four counties and include Seattle/King County Clinic, Nexus Youth and Families, Hilltop Artists, Rainbow Center, Emergency Food Network and Korean Women’s Association. This distribution marks the third round of distributions to area non-profits through the health system’s Community Partnership Fund, which was established in 2015.
The Community Partnership Fund focuses on building partnerships that contribute to the health and vitality of the community in areas such as health improvement, economic well-being, education and the ares.
“We know that there are many determinates of health beyond access to health care and we are committed to collaborating with organizations that are also focused on improving the quality of life for all our neighbors,” says MultiCare CEO and President Bill Robertson.Read more from MultiCare Health System.
