June 18, 2020

Register here! Join us for a webinar on the fundamentals of hospital-based telepsychiatry and best practices for program implementation and ongoing success by Washington Hospital Service’s Industry Partner InSight + Regroup, the industry’s leading telepsychiatry organization, on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, 2:00-3:00 p.m. PST. The webinar will cover a variety of topics, including:

  • Hospital-based applications of telepsychiatry
  • How telepsychiatry has helped in response to COVID-19
  • Washington and Northwest U.S. regulatory changes, such as reimbursement, HIPAA compliance, prescribing and licensure
  • Outcomes and performance derived from telepsychiatry
  • Lessons learned and how they will shape the future of telehealth care delivery

Telepsychiatry programs have given hospitals the ability to achieve quick, safe throughput to ensure proper use of available ED beds, especially when clinician scarcity and high demand make in-person dispositions of psychiatric patients challenging.

As a greater prevalence of mental health conditions drives the demand for mental health services, organizations across the continuum of care are quickly virtualizing their operations. Through telepsychiatry, hospitals and health system outpatient clinics can provide needed services to their patient populations, leading to improved wait times, more streamlined utilization of Emergency Department beds and individuals receiving care in times of need.

Presenter, Richard Field has been working in telemedicine for over 25 years and has been providing telepsychiatry services in the Northwest with InSight + Regroup for approximately 4 years. A graduate of Cornell University with honors and New York University Stern School with a double  MBA, Richard started his career leading the European delivery of telemedicine services from a consortium including: Massachusetts General Hospital, The Cleveland Clinic, and Johns Hopkins Medicine. Registration is available online.
