Thank you to everyone who joined us this week for Hospital Advocacy Day. We are pleased to report that this year’s event was a great success, as we welcomed 117 members representing 53 hospitals to the capitol. These members held a total of 111 meetings with legislators, telling the hospital story and asking for their support on our key issues.
This was our first time back in Olympia for Advocacy Day since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Legislative advocacy is central to WSHA’s mission to support our members in serving their communities, and this in-person event helps our elected officials understand the needs, challenges and accomplishments of our community hospitals.
We will continue sharing content related to Advocacy Day on social media over the coming days, and we look forward to hosting you again next year.
