In response to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Washington Health Benefit Exchange (Exchange) is extending the current special enrollment period for individuals who are looking for health insurance coverage. The special enrollment period will continue through May 8, 2020. For anyone who enrolls after April 8, coverage will begin on May 1.

Those who currently have coverage through the Exchange and have changes in income because of a reduction in work hours during the COVID-19 pandemic should report income changes. They may be eligible for Medicaid (Washington Apple Health) or increased subsidy assistance to pay premiums for Exchange coverage. More information is available from Washington Healthplanfinder.
