Increasing our state’s immunization rates is a key element of WSHA’s strategic plan, as it helps us build a healthier community for our state. Fortunately, WSHA is not alone in this work, and the first Washington Immunization Summit will be held April 26, 2017 at the Conference Center at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The summit will seek to enhance the effectiveness of health care professionals and systems to promote and deliver immunizations in Washington State. Topics will include vaccine hesitancy, the use of data and systems to improve immunization rates and reaching underserved populations.
Continuing education for the event is pending, and it will be hosted by WithinReach and the Immunization Action Coalition of Washington with support from the Washington State Department of Health. Click here for registration details and more information. (Tim Pfarr)
