Samaritan Healthcare convened community members, administrators and employees for a brainstorming workshop to offer input into the design of its new hospital. In April, the new hospital was green-lit for construction by Samaritan Healthcare commissioners.
The workshop utilized full-size cardboard mock-ups of potential designs. The purpose was to gain community feedback on how the various elements of the new hospital – such as patient rooms, operating rooms and emergency departments – can be most efficiently build to support quality care.
Decisions and input from the workshop will directly inform the new hospital’s design. Further information about Samaritan Healthcare’s comprehensive community workshop is available online.
