Incyte_webIncyte Diagnostics helps hospitals focus on clinical compliance, excellence.

Incyte Diagnostics has partnered with hospitals in the Pacific Northwest for more than 58 years to provide anatomic pathology services and clinical laboratory medical directorships. Incyte recently developed a program to further support your current clinical laboratory by providing additional foundation and structure to your laboratory leadership.

This program offers many options to foster clinical success, for more than just laboratory compliance for accreditation, taking your lab to the next level of best practice with an active quality management program. Quality metrics will be instrumental in future reimbursement for services as the environment shifts from fee-for-service to fee-for-quality.

Options vary, from monthly consultative technical services for moderate complexity laboratories to technical supervisor services for high-complexity testing. The consultant can also perform one-time audits for compliance to assure the CEO and medical director of continued successful accreditation compliance. Audits include a detailed visit report and define short- and long-term recommendations for laboratory management.

Monthly technical consultant services can be utilized by many laboratories that lack the personnel with the level of CLIA-defined educational requirements. This is also true for high-complexity laboratories having difficulty finding an experienced technical supervisor. Both options are very cost effective, as it provides a short-term solution to give the hospital time to find the right candidate for clinical oversight or establish a long-term option of monthly technical consultant oversight. The technical consultant can also provide structure for an inexperienced laboratory manager who requires some direction and technical support to be successful.

This new program has already experienced great success with its first clients. Deficiencies and inspection intervals have greatly decreased, providing lab managers and medical directors more time to focus on best practices with test utilization and other cost-reducing programs for the hospital.
