CHI Franciscan, partners offer 6 Weeks to a Healthier You
To help kick-start wellness for residents in the Auburn area, CHI Franciscan Health is partnering with the Auburn Chamber of Commerce to present Joe Piscatella’s “6 Weeks to a Healthier You” program.

Class considers nutrition while grieving

The 2017 Consensus Statement on Concussion in Sports, published April 26 in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, was authored by international concussion and head injury experts, including UW Medicine physicians Stanley Herring, director of the Sports Health and Safety Institute, and Richard Ellenbogen, chairman of neurological surgery.

Hospital to break ground in September
The Supporting Investments in Economic Diversification Board last Thursday approved a $500,000 loan and $500,000 grant for public infrastructure improvements to Sunnyside Community Hospital. They plan to break ground this September and have the medical campus operational by May 2019.

Legacy Children’s Center completes, celebrates expansion
The pediatric rehabilitation program had just 12 kids when it opened 10 years ago at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. Today, more than 550 children receive physical, occupational and speech therapy services at the Legacy Children’s Center each week.
