Seattle Mariners surprise kids at Sacred Heart
Surprise and delight lit up the faces of young patients at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital as they met a crew of Seattle Mariners and a life-sized moose. The Spokane stop brought three Mariners players.
UW Medicine now in Smokey Point
UW Medicine has taken over operation of the health care clinic at Smokey Point as part of their partnership with Skagit Regional Health. The local clinic has been run by UW Medicine since Jan. 11. The organization also plans to hold an open house.
Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital receives donation from credit unions
The Credit Union for Kids charity donated $29,264 to the hospital. Solarity Credit Unit contributed more than $11,000 to that total. The money will go to the pediatric unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Children’s Village.
