New facility designed to help teens with mental health problems
On Tuesday, the region’s first mental health facility solely focused on teens opened at Tacoma General Hospital. Treatment is geared toward short-term stays, whereas previously many of these patients were treated in the area’s emergency rooms.
Tri-City marathon
The 36th Annual Trios Health Tri-Cities Marathon took place Sunday. The race was also a Boston Marathon qualifier, and all finishers received a one-of-a-kind wine stopper finisher’s medal and tech shirt.
