The UW Psychiatric Consultation Line (PCL) is available to help prescribing providers, including those in community hospitals and emergency departments, in Washington seeking clinical advice about patients 18+ with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Providers can call 877-WA-PSYCH (877-927-7924), complete a brief intake and then consult with a UW psychiatrist live or schedule a time to talk. Written recommendations will also be provided. The free service is available now, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Beginning July 1, 2020, the service will be available 24/7. Visit the UW PCL website for more information.
