Patient Safety Week: A commitment to excellence

March 13, 2025

Each year, Patient Safety Week celebrates hospitals’ commitment to the highest standards of patient care. Typically, this week is an opportunity to reflect on practices, celebrate achievements and reaffirm pledges to optimize patient outcomes.

We would like to recognize hospitals across Washington for their diligence and dedication to patient safety. Your commitment to working together for the highest standards is truly commendable. Long-held values of collaboration ensure patients receive the best possible care in a safe environment regardless of which hospital door they enter in our state.

Patient Safety Week is a time to both raise awareness and to foster a culture of safety within your organization. It is a collective effort that involves every member of your team, from frontline staff to leadership. Together, we make significant positive impacts on patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care we provide.

Throughout the year, WSHA will host workshops, roundtables, and interactive sessions to equip you with the latest knowledge and tools in Clinical Excellence. These offerings are built on the principles of a culture of safety, equity and resilience.

Let’s use this week to reaffirm our dedication to our number one priority providing the safest and highest quality care to our patients Your commitment and hard work are the cornerstones of patient outcomes and to the continuous goal to be better.
