Olympic Medical Center holds community meeting for input on development

June 11, 2019

As part of its strategic plan development process, Olympic Medical Center (OMC) held a community meeting to gather feedback and input. The health systems is working on a plan to reduce Emergency Department wait times, expand walk-in clinic hours and increase the number of inpatient beds. The meeting included a variety of community partners. When the plan is finalized on June 19, OMC will organize another community meeting to report its plan and receive further feedback.

“If you need care today and it’s 7 p.m., the Emergency Department is your only option, or leaving the county,” Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis said. “What we’re trying to do is create more options for people to be at the right setting and get their care on a more timely basis.”
