NWone had a very successful Annual Meeting May 18-20 at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson. The event was attended by 160 nurse leaders from both Washington and Oregon. Attendees heard presentations from state and national speakers on resilience, partnerships and leadership, and received health policy updates from WSHA’s Ian Corbridge and the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems’ Andi Easton.
The highlight of the conference was the awards recognition:
- Authentic Leadership Award: Cheeri Barnhart, Nurse Manager – Salem Health
- Emerging Nurse Leader Award: Jeremy Williams, Nurse Manager – Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center
- Frontline Nurse Clinician Award: Holly Bramlitt, Nurse Team Leader – Peace Health United General
- Excellence in Health Care or Nurse Advocacy Award: Vernita Nolan, Director of Quality & Patient Safety – Lake Chelan Community Hospital
- Distinguished Career Award: Susan Health, Chief Nurse & Senior VP (retired)- Seattle Children’s Hospital
- Nightingale Tribute: Joanne Girard (posthumously) Nursing Division Director – Oregon Health Science University
- Transformational Pioneer: Kristen Lorenz, Diabetes Navigator- Salem Health
