Nursing Commission to host rulemaking workshops on scope of practice and continuing competency requirements in January

The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission will be hosting a series of stakeholder workshops in Jan. 22, 23 and 24 to discuss rules relating to nurses’ standard of practice and continuing competency requirements. The nursing scope of practice workshops will discuss rules connected to scope of practice for licenses practical nurses, registered nurses and advanced registered nurse practitioners.  The continuing competency requirements workshops will discuss the requirements for nurses’ active, inactive, expired or retired active credential status.
