Exemplary leadership and impactful initiatives help shape great health care in our state. This spring, WSHA will recognize exceptional hospital leaders and projects with two awards: Board members are eligible for the Ben Lindekugel Governance Excellence Award, while the Community Health Leadership Award recognizes projects or initiatives of any hospital, health system or public hospital district.
The Ben Lindekugel Governance Excellence Award was most recently given in 2023 to Ocean Beach Hospital & Medical Clinic Commissioner Nancy Gorshe. All WSHA members can nominate for a deserving board member or commissioner.
The Community Health Leadership Award recognizes a health care organization that’s innovating to serve community’s health needs and create lasting benefits. The award is selected by WSHA’s Hospital Governing Board Committee and in 2023 was given to Viriginia Mason Franciscan Health for its violence prevention initiative on human trafficking prevention and response. All WSHA members can submit nominations.
The award deadline is Feb.7, 2025.
