Nominations are now open for WSHA’s Joe Hopkins Memorial Award and the Community Health Leadership Award, which will be presented at WSHA’s 84th Annual Member Meeting Oct. 13-14 in Seattle. You can make nominations online through the WSHA website.
The late Joe Hopkins was a long-time leader in the Washington State health care arena who served in many capacities, including as a hospital administrator, WSHA chairman and American Hospital Association committee member. The 31st Annual Joe Hopkins Memorial Award will be given to an individual who displays the spirit of Joe Hopkins’ vision and dedication to Washington’s hospitals, with a special focus on his interest in rural health.
The Community Health Leadership Award is given annually to a health care organization that is serving its community’s broader health needs in innovative and lasting ways. WSHA is looking to recognize organizations that are not just serving patients, but are making their entire communities healthier.
