A new way to manage pain

January 5, 2017

For those suffering from pain, it may seem like there is no way to make it go away. For residents of the Clarkston community, there is a new resource at Tri-State Memorial Hospital that can help when it comes to managing pain and getting back to the more important things in life.

Last fall, Interventional Pain Consultants moved into a new facility on the Tri-State Memorial Hospital campus, with its providers joining the hospital. The move has been several years in the making and brings a staff of 20 — including three providers — to Clarkston from Lewiston, Idaho. Together, the Interventional Pain Consultants staff has more than 75 year of experience in pain management.

Now at the hospital, Interventional Pain Consultants offers a comprehensive range of services for patients with acute or chronic pain, dealing with disc herniation, lower back and leg pain, neck and arm pain, cancer pain, neuropathic pain and more. Acute pain is a normal sensation that alerts the body to injury, and chronic pain can occur where there is no past injury or body damage.

Rural hospitals across Washington State continue to add needed services to make their communities healthier, and the addition of Interventional Pain Consultants adds a helpful resource to this Eastern Washington community.
