A new lookup tool is available that will allow providers to check if a clinician or group who bills Medicare meets the volume thresholds and will need to submit quality data under the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). The Medicare Administrative Contractors sent notices to qualifying entities via mail. Providers can check online by entering a provider or group’s national provider identifier on the Quality Payment Program website. Clinicians who bill Medicare more than $30,000 in Part B allowed charges a year and provide care for more than 100 Medicare patients a year are included in the Quality Payment Program.
Qualis Health, the Washington State Medical Association and WSHA are jointly launching the Quality Payment Program Resource Center to provide the Washington medical community a comprehensive destination for Quality Payment Program needs. From an interactive toolkit to the MIPS Minutes (an online learning series), it will serve as a one-stop shop to prepare clinicians for success with the Quality Payment Program. Learn more here.
