To ensure data integrity and help WSHA better support hospitals in their quality improvement efforts, WSHA is in the process of developing a robust data submission follow-up process. WSHA staff have begun to reach out to hospitals missing more than three months of data on any measures reported in the Quality Benchmarking System (QBS) to help hospitals address barriers to data submission.
In the coming months, WSHA will also roll out additional error checks in QBS. Checks will include pop-up windows asking for confirmation of data entry for values that are significantly different than the prior six months or outside the expected range for the measure. WSHA staff will regularly review data entered into QBS and will contact hospitals about data inconsistencies.
Thank you for your continued work in submitting data to WSHA to help support quality improvement efforts across the state!
