New law codifies informed consent requirements regarding pelvic exams

WSHA released a bulletin on a new Washington law regarding providers’ obligation to obtain informed consent from patients before performing pelvic exams on unconscious or anesthetized patients. This new law is consistent with current practices at Washington’s hospital. (Sarah Chicoine)
