For organizations interested in becoming a certified National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site, NHSC will host a webcast at 11 a.m. today to review the benefits of becoming an NHSC site, eligibility requirements and the application process. NHSC programs provide scholarships and student loan repayment for health care professionals engaged in providing comprehensive medical primary care, dental and behavioral health in areas across the country with a shortage of health care professionals. An NHSC-approved site is a health care facility that provides comprehensive outpatient, ambulatory and primary health care services to populations residing in Health Professional Shortage Areas.
