Mentor first generation STEM college students

August 19, 2021

If you work in health care, it’s no secret that there is a workforce shortage. One contribution that every health care worker can make today is to mentor a first-generation STEM college student. The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship provides financial support and mentorship to help these students succeed.  While Opportunity Scholars are highly motivated to succeed, many lack the coaching and connections necessary to land that first job. At 11:30 a.m., Sept. 7, Washington Hospital Services will be hosting a webinar so you can learn about this exciting program and how you can get involved. Register online here. If you can’t make this webinar but want to learn more, click here.
