If you haven’t already registered for WSHA’s webcast on Ricky’s Law, now’s the time! The 90-minute webcast and Q&A will take place on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, from 12-1:30 p.m. Ricky’s Law applies Washington’s Involuntary Treatment Act to people experiencing a substance use-related crisis. This webcast is a must-attend event for emergency department medical directors, administrators and social workers.
The webcast will include several presenters, including Providence Emergency Department Director and President-Elect of the Washington-chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians Dr. Ryan Keay, Health Care Authority (HCA) ITA Coordinator Allison Wedin, HCA designated crisis responder leaders and administrators from state secure withdrawal management and stabilization facilities.
