Last chance to make nominations for WSHA awards

August 30, 2022

Now is your last chance to make nominations for WSHA’s awards that will be presented at the 2022 Annual Meeting Oct. 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton! Make your nominations online now through Sept. 9.

At the Annual Meeting, WSHA will present the Joe Hopkins Memorial Award, Ben Lindekugel Governance Excellence Award and the Community Health Leadership Award. All winners are peer nominated, and nominations are now open for 2022. Please make nominations on the WSHA website at wsha.org/awards by Friday, Sept. 9. (WSHA also accepts year-round applications for the Rural Quality Everyday Award, which recognizes a rural hospital completing an exceptional quality improvement project. The award will next be given in 2023.)

The Joe Hopkins Award is a lifetime achievement award given to an individual who has made lasting contributions to our state’s health care landscape throughout their career. Only board members and hospital administrators can make nominations for this award. The Ben Lindekugel Governance Education Award recognizes an individual who has shown commitment to hospital governance and community service, and the Community Health Leadership Award recognizes an organization whose work extends beyond the hospital walls to improve the health of the larger community. All WSHA members can make nominations for the Ben Lindekugel Governance Excellence Award and the Community Health Leadership Award.

We hope you will take a moment to recognize your peers, and we look forward to seeing you at the Annual Meeting in October!

Sincerely,

Tim Pfarr
