Each legislative session, WSHA calls on member hospitals and health systems to send staff to Olympia to meet with legislators or testify on legislative proposals impacting local health care. We are excited to invite member staff who want to increase their effectiveness and skills testifying before elected officials to our first-ever Advocacy Bootcamp Oct. 8. The half-day event will equip with them with the confidence and tools they need to effectively advocate on behalf of their communities.
The bootcamp will be held from 12-5 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton, the day before WSHA’s Annual Meeting at the same venue. Learn more about the bootcamp and register now. Registration includes a networking lunch and reception.
Bootcamp attendees will:
- Gain an understanding of the key issues impacting health care in Washington State
- Learn how to amplify their voice to support health care in their communities
- Hear from legislators and experts in government relations
- Practice testifying and answering tough questions
