Honoring Choices Pacific Northwest, Person-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and C-TAC invite you to attend a forum Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 from 3–6 p.m. at Cambia Grove in Seattle, which will highlight findings on three pioneering research studies on communication, advance care planning and decision making. The forum will place person-centered, actionable PCORI studies in the hands of implementors — such as health system leaders, individual providers, payers, community and state coalitions and advocacy groups — who can use research findings to improve the delivery of care for patients living with advanced illness.
With support from PCORI as part of their Eugene Washington Engagement Award for Capacity Building grant, C-TAC is convening this forum. The studies are led by distinguished PCORI-funded academic investigators.
The following PCORI-funded investigators will present their research:
- Rebecca Sudore, MD, Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of California in San Francisco
- J. Randall Curtis, MD, Director of the Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence at the University of Washington in Seattle
- Larry Allen, MD, Professor of Medicine-Cardiology in the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado in Denver
