Hospitals encouraged to Join Washington DOH crisis standards of care seminar Feb. 26

February 1, 2024

On Monday, Feb. 26. From 9 a.m. – noon, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Office of Resilience and Health Security (ORHS) is facilitating a Crisis Standards of Care Virtual Seminar, discussing communication standards and mitigation strategies to avoid going into crisis standards of care. Hospital representatives are encouraged to participate and can register here.

Please reach out to Kristine Camper if you have any questions.

In 2021 DOH updated the Crisis Standards of Care (CSC) Triage Teams Operational Guidebook ( 821-151-CSC-TT-guidebook.PDF ( to serve as guidelines to support equitable, ethical health care decision making during crisis situations.

Individual hospitals and supporting organizations – including WSHA, the Northwest Healthcare Response Network (NWHRN), the Washington Medical Coordination Center (WMCC) and Washington’s long-term care associations – have roles to play in crisis response. (Tina Seery)
