On Tuesday, more than 80 hospital leaders from across Washington came together in Olympia for WSHA’s 2025 Advocacy Day. We’re incredibly grateful to those who participated. You made a real impact, helping legislators understand how policy decisions affect patient care, workforce challenges and hospital sustainability.
Hospital leaders engaged directly with nearly 100 state legislators, sharing real stories and data illustrating the challenges and opportunities for hospitals. Your conversations reinforced the urgent need for policies that strengthen providers and protect patient access.
With major legislation on the table this session — including efforts to address workforce shortages, financial pressures and regulatory changes — our voices are essential in helping lawmakers understand what’s at stake. Those connections will continue to shape our conversations in Olympia in the weeks to come.
On behalf of WSHA, thank you for your time, passion and dedication. Your leadership makes a difference, and I look forward to continuing our work throughout the legislative session.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline Barton True
