The American Hospital Association (AHA) and others filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on November 13 to prevent significant Medicare payment cuts to hospitals that participate in the 340B Drug Pricing Program. In a final rule, the payments would be cut by about 28 percent. WSHA is pleased to see AHA’s action on this front. WSHA opposed the cut in a letter to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and lobbied our Congressional delegation to participate in a letter to the administration asking it to withdraw the proposal.
