Hospital clinical experts needed to fill vacancies on the Health Technology Clinical Committee

June 16, 2016

The Washington Health Care Authority is seeking to fill three vacancies on the Health Technology Clinical Committee. Qualified health professionals who use health technology in their scope of practice and who have experience with evidence-based medicine are encouraged to apply. The application process has been extended. Applications will now be accepted until 5pm on June 24. Click here for more information on the application process.

The purpose of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) is to ensure medical treatments and services paid for with state health care dollars are safe and proven effective. HTA uses an independent clinical committee of health care practitioners to review evidenced-based reports and make a determination if the state should pay for the medical device, procedure or test. Recommendations made by the clinical committee have the potential to impact payment for services that hospitals may provide. (Ian Corbridge)
