Honoring Choices participants receive free training and consultation to help implement the Respecting Choices First Steps evidence-based advance care planning program in their facilities. First Steps is a team-based, systems approach to assist patients in advance care planning and decision-making at the end of life.
There is no fee to join the initiative; all who want to participate can. Participating organizations benefit from a wealth of resources, curriculum, coaching and networking. Twenty-seven organizations, including every major health system across Washington State, are currently participating in the program. Learn more about Honoring Choices PNW. (Bonnie Bizzell)
