We’re just about a month away from the 42nd Annual Rural Hospital Leadership Conference, June 24-27 at Campbell’s Resort in Chelan. If you’ve already registered, we look forward to seeing you there. If you haven’t, be sure to do so soon, because registration prices go up at the end of the day this Friday, May 25. See all the conference details and register now to take advantage of the savings.
We’re excited to announce some new features at this year’s event. First, we’ll be recording all our breakout sessions and making them available to attendees after the conference. That way, you’ll be able to see all the conference content, no matter what breakouts you choose to attend. Also, we’re having our first-ever vendor exhibition at this year’s conference, all-day Monday in the Bistro. During breaks throughout the day, you’ll be able to get information directly from vendors and learn more about what services they can offer your facility to keep improving the care you deliver every day.
As for our content, we have an especially great lineup of speakers to challenge and inform you this year, including:
- Kristin Peterson, JD, from the Washington State Department of Health, who will join me to discuss the state of rural health care
- Drs. Kurt DeVine and Heather Bell from CHI St. Gabriel’s Health in Little Falls, Minn., who will discuss a rural primary clinic’s successful response to the opioid crisis
- Pamela R. Knecht from ACCORD LIMITED, who will discuss board leadership in changing times
- Ben Nemtin, an inspirational speaker and filmmaker whose travels have taken him to England to have a beer with Prince Harry and to Oprah’s couch, who will share stories of how you can make the impossible possible
Of course, all the Chelan traditions will be back, including the golf tournament, Sunday cocktail reception, Monday wine tasting and Tuesday barbecue on the beach (and this year guests can join you for free at the barbecue). There will be plenty of time for you to get to know and learn from peers throughout the state. We’ve been looking forward to this year’s conference all spring, and we can’t wait to see you there!
Sincerely,
Cassie Sauer
