Florida Hospital Association launches employee relief fund in wake of Hurricane Irma

Over the last week, Hurricane Irma made its destructive journey across Florida. Despite the risks, hospital teams throughout the state remained on the job throughout the storm. Now, thousands of caregivers and hospital teams across Florida are caring for patients despite the damage to their own homes. Although the storm’s full impact is still being assessed, we know that many of our hospital colleagues lost homes or experienced significant property damage.

In honor of those who so selflessly support others, the Florida Hospital Association (FHA) launched the FHA Hospital Employee Assistance Fund. Funds will directly assist hospital employees who suffered significant property loss or damage during Hurricane Irma. All administrative services are being provided in-kind so that 100 percent of your donation will assist those in the FEMA-designated disaster areas.
