Federal public health emergency extended

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra has renewed the declaration of a public health emergency due to the continuation of the pandemic. The current COVID-19 public health emergency has been extended through October 18, 2021. The emergency may be extended through the rest of 2021 in 90-day increments. WSHA will continue to monitor this important federal declaration and understands that HHS will provide states with substantial notice before the national emergency declaration ends.
