Effective Dec. 3, 2021: L&I extends citation & notice posting time period

The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) issued a final rule effective Dec. 3, 2021, that extends the length of time a citation or notice from L&I must be posted on an employee safety bulletin board. The new rule extends the mandatory posting period from three to seven working days, excluding weekends and holidays. The new rule also gives employers the option to circulate citations and notices to employees via electronic means to ensure remote employees receive the required information.
