The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Healthcare Association Infections Program is planning to begin a mentoring call series for infection preventionists in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). Hospital infection preventionists are invited to foster relationships between hospitals and SNFs, and to share knowledge to improve practices.
The series will begin in fall 2021, with calls taking place twice a month. It will provide a short didactic on an infection prevention topic pertinent to SNFs and provide breakout discussion groups organized by healthcare coalition regions.
