Department of Health kicks off rulemaking for certain technicians and technologists

This week, the Department of Health kicked off an effort to update rules related to certain technicians and technologists with a meeting on Oct. 29. This rulemaking is part of DOH’s obligation to regularly review rules and regulations for consistency with current practice. This effort will include a review of the rules for cardiovascular invasive specialists, radiologic technologists, radiologist assistants, and X-ray technicians. WSHA will be monitoring this rulemaking and encourages hospitals to participate and highlight any issues that would be important for DOH to consider.
