CMS seeks feedback on rural workforce, behavioral health and social determinants of health

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be hosting three listening sessions this month. They seek feedback from hospital staff, providers and executives in rural Washington on experiences, needs, strategies and recommendations unique to our region. The details on the three listening sessions are below:

  • Social Determinants of Health:  How are and should Social Determinants of Health influence design and delivery of services?

  • Behavioral Health:  What are the major barriers to providing behavioral health services? How has rural health care continued to be impacted by the opioid epidemic? Are there impacts caused by undiagnosed, untreated, or inadequately treated behavioral health care on the delivery of services?
