CMS extends S-10 correction deadline to January 31: Updated Resources Available

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced an additional extension of the deadline until January 31, 2018 for correction to the S-10 forms completed by hospitals for some past periods. The extended timeline should allow additional hospitals opportunity to make any needed corrections. WSHA, by special arrangement with Toyon Associates, is providing a webinar recording and slides to assist hospitals interested in correcting their S-10 filings. The recording and slides have been updated to reflect the extended date and recent changes in reporting instructions from CMS. For purposes of worksheet S-10 revisions, amended cost reports that begin during federal fiscal years 2014 and 2015 are due to Medicare Administrative Contractors no later than January 31, 2018. (Beth Zborowski, bethz@wsha.org)
