Are you ready to celebrate National Hospital Week?

May 3, 2019

National Hospital Week 2019 (May 12-18) is quickly approaching! Has your health system made plans to celebrate it? We at WSHA encourage you to take full advantage of National Hospital Week as an opportunity to highlight the important work that goes into providing expert, high-quality care to Washington residents.

National Hospital Week is a chance to engage with your community and recognize recent accomplishments. It can also be a time to recognize everyone – nurses, administrative professionals, doctors, therapists, food service works and more – who makes it possible for health systems to provide vital health care services.

A variety of resources are available to support your hospital in recognizing National Hospital Week. The American Hospital Association has created a National Hospital Week Digital Toolkit, to assist hospitals in explaining via social media why hospitals are vital pillars of their communities. The toolkit includes sample social media content and shareable graphics. The AHA is also coordinating the #MyHospital social media awareness campaign. Additional information is available online.

If your hospital already has plans to celebrate National Hospital Week, let us know! We would love to share how Washington hospitals recognize National Hospital Week in Weekly Report. Please send stories of 100 words or less, and any photos you’d like to include, to EmilyP@wsha.org by noon on May 15.
