The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) has selected the Arcora Foundation — the foundation of Delta Dental of Washington — as an “Apparently Successful Bidder” for the Medicaid Dental Managed Care Request for Proposal. Per the selection, the Arcora Foundation, in partnership with Delta Dental of California and Delta Dental of Washington, will work with HCA and providers across the state to improve oral health care for Medicaid recipients in Washington. The work will launch January 1.
Arcora also plans to continue innovative programs, including the Access to Baby and Child Dentistry programs and the Oral Health Connections pilot, which is designed to increase the number of pregnant women and people with diabetes who receive dental care. They will also expand their work to integrate medical and dental care, as these efforts were identified by HCA as additional goals of the new Medicaid dental managed care program.
