The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently announced that it is replacing the existing Global and Professional Direct Contracting (GPDC) Model with an ACO REACH model for performance year 2023. Applications are due April 22, 2022. A copy of the request for application is here. CMS redesigned the program to promote the following goals:
- Advance Health Equity to Bring the Benefits of Accountable Care to Underserved Communities
- Promote Provider Leadership and Governance
- Protect Beneficiaries and the Model with More Participant Vetting, Monitoring and Greater Transparency
